The Course will cover:
Discuss learning styles
Explain a modified San Jose Scoring model
Understand the basic concepts of field training
Know the standard evaluation guidelines
Cover the ways to properly document performance
Exam current ethical issues in policing
Identify strengths and challenges with millennial/Gen Z officers
Instructor:
Michael DeHart- has served as the Field Training Unit Coordinator for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He started his law enforcement career in 1989. He is an Indiana Law Enforcement Board (ILETB) Master
Instructor and a graduate of the FBINA. Lieutenant DeHart has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Business Management. He also previously served as an adjunct criminal justice lecturer for Indiana Wesleyan University, in the
Department of Social Sciences.
