About the Training

Scope of Lesson Coverage: This course is designed to provide knowledge and training to develop FTO Instructor skills for the “Rolling Classroom.” Each new FTO will be presented with ideas and techniques to assist them in becoming more professional and confident in the application of their instructor skills. They will receive a certificate of completion and 24 hours of LETB training hours.

Upon Completion, the FTO will be able to:

- Understand the importance of having a training program.

- Standardized training to all recruits.

- Effective communication skills.

- Identify the role of the FTO as Instructors.

- Identify the common errors in rating.

- Identify liability issues and how to avoid them.

- Understand performance evaluations.

- Using Training Briefs as a teaching tool.

- Understand the Rating Scale and Reference Numbers.

- Complete the Daily Observation Report.

- Identify learning obstacles and how to correct them.

- Laws and principles of adult learning.

- List the Principles of Leadership and skills needed for leadership.

- Have a working knowledge of Problem Solving.

- Produce highly trained employees.
