THE STRATEGIES & TACTICS OF PATROL STOPS INSTRUCTORS TRAINING IS NATIONALLY ACCREDITED THROUGH THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION of DIRECTORS of LAW ENFORCEMENT STANDARDS and TRAINING (IADLEST) 

There are nearly 4500 STOPS Instructors throughout the United States. Officers completing this course will be certified to INSTRUCT officers in the STOPS officer survival program. Upon completing the STOPS program, your officers will be able to SAFELY execute vehicle stops, pedestrian contacts, commercial vehicle stops, vehicle extractions, drug interdiction stops, and high-risk (felony) stops. 

Officers will be trained in risk assessments and proven methods to counter felonious and accidental assaults. Vehicle stops will be broken into 12 ambush zones for the officer to be aware of and escape techniques to counter and defeat any assault type. The STOPS program collects research from officers injured or killed in the line of duty. We then developed strategies and tactics that countered the assaults, increasing the officer’s survival probability. 

The STOPS course is nationally recognized as the leading tactical/officer survival training program. The course divides vehicle stops into low-risk, unknown-risk, and high-risk. Each category has pre-planned options to minimize the chances of being assaulted by both accidental and felonious means. One goal of STOPS is for the officers to always think about the safest way to deal with every situation and recognize the danger cues. If an assault occurs, our students will dominate through superior training and a warrior mindset. The STOPS program is currently instructed at police academies nationwide as THE safest way to conduct traffic stops. Our motto says it all, “STOPS SAVES COPS”! STOPS Training is realistic and highly dynamic, with both classroom and dynamic field exercises. The cost of this Instructor level certification course is only $599. Instructors will then be certified to teach the STOPS Officers Survival System for 36 months. We will also be recertifying STOPS Instructors during days 2 and 3. The cost of the re-cert is only $450.
